I finished my 52 Shirts project. So happy with how the project turned out.

My issue with social media right now isn't necessarily about privacy... It's more an issue with return on investment. How much time am I putting into Facebook and Twitter and what am I getting out of it?

I'm seriously thinking about leaving Facebook and Twitter and just going with Micro.Blog and Instagram. I just don't feel like I'm getting anything out of social media today...

I'm rattled by the suicides of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain. I had a recent talk with a friend about mental health and creativity, and the stress that designers, writers and other creatives put on themselves. Expectations are unrelenting and exhausting.

I came across this NY Times article about why we are too hard on ourselves. It really resonated with me and I think many (most?) of us fall into this category.

I hate it when I have the perfect name for something – a blog, project, font, etc. – and it's already taken. 

I’m amazed how some people become so obsessed with the process, that they miss the point of the process. 

I'm not sure if listening to the Beastie Boys on the drive into work was a good idea or bad idea.

I keep a folder in Ulysses with blog post ideas. Things I want to write about. I just checked the folder and I've got 39 ideas or half-written posts sitting there... Time to get writing.

Had a great time at the Atlanta Pen Show this weekend. Always great to see Myke and Brad record The Pen Addict in front of a live studio audience.

Facebook reminded me this morning that I've been a Facebook user for 10 years. I honestly don't know how I feel about that...

Seriously just had the strangest InDesign bug ever. I printed a document, but a different document came out of the printer. It persisted until I restarted InDesign. Now it's fine. Weird...

I've been thinking a lot lately about the concept of community. How do you define community? What makes something an "online community" vs. an app or a platform?

I'm trying to read more books. Especially fiction. So much of my reading is directed at short articles or non-fiction. But I need to make time for reading more novels... 📚

Spent a chunk of time tonight at our AIGA South Carolina happy hour extolling the virtues of Micro.Blog. 

I didn't feel like working on a particular a project this morning. Instead, I got my work email to Inbox Zero. So I procrastinated, but I did it productively.
